If you’re feeling weighed down by the mental load of parenthood, stuck in emotional patterns, or navigating a major life transition, you don’t have to hold it all on your own.

You may be experiencing:

Feeling disconnected from yourself after trauma or major life changes

The emotional ups and downs of pregnancy or motherhood

Relationship strain and difficulty reconnecting

Burnout, overstimulation, or the mental load of parenting

A child or teen struggling with stress or emotional regulation

If any of this sounds familiar, this is the space for you.

MELLISSA TONNE

I am an Associate Marriage and Family therapist located in the Bay Area. I graduated from Pacific Oaks College with a specialization in trauma. I am currently working under the supervision of Mary Deggelman, LMFT.

I believe that it is important to look at the whole family system and recognize the impact that each person’s experiences and relationships have on one another.

My work as a therapist is grounded in the belief that our experience in life and our relationships with our parents and family greatly influence who we are and how we have come to be. I love to get to know my clients’ stories and hear about their values and what is important to them. Our work involves healing those early attachment wounds and understanding why we do the things that we do.

Part of the work involves accepting the things that have happened to us and the scars that they have left, while also learning how to move forward without those wounds taking over how we react and respond. The tools that I provide in therapy involve mindfulness-based interventions to help ground and connect with your inner emotions.

I support clients in all stages of life, dealing with a variety of issues. If you feel that we are a good fit, I am here to support you.
